Community Services and Health Industry Partners

The benefits for students and trainees include increased employment prospects and earning capacity, as well as gaining a greater understanding of the importance of their jobs, and the sense of achievement and esteem that goes with it.

Employers can lower their costs (eg, employing Enrolled Nurses who study at West Coast reduces the need for Registered Nurses on staff), and the elevated morale of both staff and patients has a flow-on effect on productivity and reduced staff turnover.

West Coast is actively seeking employers within a range of health and community care disciplines, who wish to offer their staff an opportunity to upgrade their skills or qualifications as a means of improving their business.

We are also looking for people employed within the industry who wish to formalise their experience into a qualification (industry experience is recognised and taken into account), or expand their skill levels. Entry level students are also welcome, of course.

Course and training delivery is structured around the needs of the employer and the trainee, and in many cases the majority or even all of the training is undertaken onsite at the workplace. The quality of teaching is second to none, and West Coast staff work hard to ensure that every aspect of the training we deliver is relevant, up-to-date and accurate.

We are here to help you achieve your aspirations, and to provide the community with the best health and personal care possible.
