Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110)
The Certificate IV in Training and Assessment specifies the competencies required to deliver training in an industry area or area of subject matter expertise, and to conduct competency-based assessment in a range of contexts.
This qualification is for people whose primary function is delivering and assessing training in a workplace/learning environment or who may be interested in future employment in delivery and assessment for a Registered Training Organisation (RTO).
This qualification will provide you with the skills and knowledge required to facilitate learning and maintain and enhance professional practice through competency-based assessment in a range of settings. You will learn how to design and develop learning programs and resources to support delivery. You will also learn how to plan and organise assessment, design and develop assessment tools and assess competency in a vocational, training and education environment.
Successful completion of this qualification provides you with the opportunity to become:
- Teachers / lecturers / trainers in public and private Vocational Education and Training (VET) organisations in permanent full-time, part-time or casual positions
- School teachers teaching VET in high schools
- Trainers / assessors in industry (eg. mining, construction, hospitality)
