Guangzhou City Polytechnic Study Tour
In January and February 2009, a delegation of fifteen staff from Guangzhou City Polytechnic in China's Guangdong Province visited West Coast Institute of Training to participate in a staff development program.
The delegation undertook a three week study program that included an introduction to the Australian Vocational Education and Training System and the Australian Qualifications Training Framework. The program also included visits to hospitality and tourism industry sites where West Coast conducts training. The study tour program was delivered by West Coast staff at our Joondalup Campus and Guangzhou City Polytechnic staff were accommodated nearby.
The delegation was welcomed to West Coast Institute of Training to develop a better understanding between our institutions of the vocational education and training systems in place in our two countries and to enhance the skills of both Chinese and Australian staff.
