Visit to Gulf Cooperative Council Countries
In May 2009, West Coast Institute of Training Director International Business Paul Linnane visited the Kuwait Petroleum Company (KPC) to discuss security training opportunities. KPC is one of the world's top ten oil energy conglomerates, and a leader in providing safe, clean energy to the global markets.

In the United Arab Emirates, Mr Linnane visited the Dubai Police Academy to discuss specialist training programs. The Dubai Police Academy is a regional leader in police training and has state of the art facilities.
Qatar Petroleum is responsible for all phases of the oil and gas industry in the State of Qatar. The record growth rate of Qatar’s economy is a direct result of the unprecedented level of expansion in the energy sector.
During his visit to the State of Qatar, Mr Linnane met with the new Diploma of Security and Risk Management group coming to West Coast Institute of Training in July 2009 for 12 months. Pre-departure information was provided to each student and a presentation was made on the Institute, the Joondalup environment, and Perth.
