Vice Mayor of Jinan Municipal People's Government Visits West Coast TAFE

In March 2009, West Coast Institute of Training Managing Director Sue Slavin welcomed the Deputy Mayor of Jinan Municipal People's Government, Madam Gong Xianqun, and her delegation of government officials to the Institute.

Mrs Slavin introduced the delegation to the Corporate Executive team and described the Institute's operations, achievements and affiliation with Jinan, highlighting its strong relationship with its sister institution, Jinan Vocational College.

Jinan has a long-standing relationship with the City of Joondalup (Sister Cities), which was established to promote friendship, peace and cross-cultural awareness between the two Cities.  During their visit, the delegation attended the Joondalup Festival and focused on the proposed Sister City Garden Project.
