Progress and Attendance Requirements

If you are absent for medical reasons, you will need to obtain a medical certificate from your doctor. The medical certificate must be dated the day you were absent, back dated medical certificates are generally not accepted by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC).

The certificate should be handed to a staff member at the International Student Centre as soon as possible.

If your progress and attendance fall below the requirement for your course, you may be reported to the DIAC and your visa may be cancelled.

The ESOS Act (2007 Revised) National Code of Practice requires the progress and attendance of international students to be regularly monitored by their education provider.
